Some recipes unrealistic Bought this for my son who’s into cooking. Some of the recipes are unrealistic - e.g., those that call for venison or alligator meat. (No joke - they’re in there.). If I’m going to take the effort to find those types of ingredients or cook something with Kobe beef, I’m probably not going to be using a recipe from this book.actual Masterchef in your house and/or you are willing to buy it and do them together then this is a great book. This is a gorgeous looking cookbook but I should've listened to the other reviewers...my 8 year old daughter loves Masterchef but these recipes are WAY too difficult for her to make or even attempt on her own. These are really advanced!! And not "kid friendly" meals (a lot of seafood) But if you have a real, actual Masterchef in your house and/or you are willing to buy it and do them together then this is a great book.Gave as a gift to a 12yr old aspiring chef! Bought this for my nephew that has mastered basic cooking techniques. He loves the cookbook because the recipes are more advance and are things he could serve to adults. If you’re looking for a basic kid’s cooking book, this isn’t it. This is perfect for a child that has aspirations of being a chef.
